Simon Kraus visited from Heino Finklelmann’s lab at Freiberg University. Simon provided instruction on the synthesis and characterization of spin cast and photo-cross-linked nematic elastomer free standing films.
Helena Godinho is a professor from the University of New Lisbon, Portugal, where she works on polymeric liquid crystals. She provided instruction on the synthesis and characterization of a bioorganic cellulose based LCEs
Rafael Verduzco visited from Julie Kornfield's group at Caltech. Currently, Rafael is a research fellow at Oakridge National Lab working on material science
